Yuma and Mesa

These are just random pictures of things we've done in the last month or so. Mark bought a motorcycle, so we were trying it out. Carli loved jumping on the tramp with her cousin Jane in Yuma at Grandma and Grandpa's house. The rain was huge storm in Tucson during Monsoon season.

Karen and Mark's Wedding

We drove up to Utah in August for my sister's wedding. They were married in the SLC Temple. It's always great to see my whole family, but we did miss Kristin, who is on a mission.

Washington D.C. Trip

Spencer and I went to D.C. this summer without our kids! It was wonderful, but hard. When we left on the airplane, I was crying as I kissed the kids good-bye. They were both just staring at me, and Cale asked, "Mom, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I'm glad they were okay with me leaving! Grammy came and took care of them for 5 days.
We met Debbie and Matt in D.C., and shared a hotel room with them. We of course visited the Capitol, White House, Arlington Cemetary, Monuments, and Museums. It was really fun and VERY tiring! Every night we stayed up late playing games. It was so wonderful to be there with my sister.
Both Debbie and I are quick browsers through museums, and Spencer and Matt were thorough readers. So after Debbie and I had scanned through everything, we sat and chatted for an hour or so while waiting for our husbands.

California Trip

We went to California in June to show the kids Disneyland, Sea World, and the ocean. It was fun spending the rest of our school loan money. The kids had a great time. We stayed with Sam and Melanie in Oceanside on the Military Base. When we tried to get on base, we realized we didn't have a current car insurance card in our car, so we had to call the insurance company and get it faxed. But then the soldier decided to believe us and let us on.
We went to Disneyland the next day. I was so on top of things and plugged in the camera and video camera to be charged during the night previous. Then I completely forgot about them and didn't take them to Disneyland. Since taking pictures is the whole point of vacationing, I was stressed, but then Sam and Melanie offered to take pictures of us with their camera, so it worked out okay.
The kids loved the rides. Cale was still too little for a lot of them, but he didn't know or care. I totally cried during the parade, and we had some meltdowns from the kids because of no naps, but it was a great day!
The next day we went to the ocean. The kids loved playing in the sand and touching the water once. It was very relaxing and nice.
Then we went down to San Diego and visited Sea World. I of course cried during the Shamu show, but what's new.
