funny videos

If you haven't watched Bambi for awhile, maybe you should watch it, because apparently Carli thinks it's hilarious.

Wii for the 1st time

Our neighbors have a Wii, so they were nice enough to bring it over and let us play it. We had never even seen one before-I know, we're pretty old fashioned. I think the last thing I played was the nintendo. I don't even think I've played X-Box.
Anyway, check out the video.

Cale's 5th Birthday

I remember that being pregnant with Cale was a piece of cake. I didn't gain very much weight, I wasn't sick, I exercised the entire time, my water broke 9 days early, I had a quick labor and delivery, and I was back down to pre-pregnancy weight in the first 6 weeks. Cale was also a very happy, content, easy, beautiful baby. I thought, "what is everyone complaining about? Pregnancy and being a mother are a piece of cake!" So, we hurried and had another baby, and then my opinion completely changed!
Anyway, my water broke in the middle of the night, so I showered and got ready to go the the hospital. As we were leaving the house, Spencer asked if it was all right to stop by school to get something. I was only in labor, for crying out loud, but sure! Let's stop for breakfast too and go for a jog while we're at it. Silly boy.
Cale has always been very even tempered and happy. He's a miniature Spencer. If you know Cale, than you know he loves orange, legos, batman, coloring and cutting, exploring, and imagining in his own little world. We love Cale so much and can't believe he's already 5!

Here is a slideshow and video of Cale's birthday and BATMAN birthday party. I don't know what I was thinking to invite 8 crazy kids over to tear apart my house for 2 hours! No, it wasn't that bad, but there were definitely moments of chaos. We had just gathered everyone at the table and lit the candles to sing happy birthday to Cale when Carli spills a cup of soda all over another child, and then Grace yells, "I need to go poop!" So, we take a break and I'm cleaning up spilt soda and Spencer's wiping bottoms while all the other kids are sticking their fingers in the icing on the cake and eating it. Thank goodness Karen and Mark were there to take care of Danielle for me, or I don't know what I would've done. But Cale had a great time, and that's all that matters, right?

Cheesy portraits

We just took new family portraits. We used Portrait Innovations for the first time. Well, we got there and the waiting room was packed! We spent an hour waiting. Spencer was so annoyed that we actually sat there and waited. Well, when we finally finished, they turned out pretty good. We had some good laughs at Carli. When she smiles she REALLY smiles. It was hard to pick good pictures because she was cheesin' in almost every picture. Here are some of our favorite cheeses:Cale's cheesing pretty good in this picture.

Halloween 2008

Spencer dressed up as a Hillbilly for work on Halloween.
He looked so nasty in his mullet and fake teeth that I
cringed when I kissed him in that picture. Cale was batman,
Carli was a fairy, and Danielle was a little Indian.
We went to our Stake Trunk or Treat. Cale was so
excited for Halloween, because his two favorite things
are batman and the color orange. Carli wore her wings
only for the picture, and she took off her fairy
dress halfway through the trunk or treat and ran
around in her tank top and panty covers (doesn't
everyone wish they lived in Arizona?).

She's never really liked dressing up. Spencer made me
dress up, so I decided to be Elpheba. Cale didn't want
to watch me put on the green makeup. I think he
was a little scared of what I would look like
and that I would really turn into a mean witch
.
