Spencer, here is Kristin trying to feed Danielle the pumpkin soup I made. She absolutely hated it, and it got everywhere but in her mouth-as you can see! For some reason, none of the kids liked it~ Nice.

Gymnastics

Here is Carli doing gymnastics. Some of these posts are for Spencer because he is out of town and homesick.

The Joys of the Desert

We just went camping up in the mountains near Payson with our ward.

I was very surprised to see not just one, but 2 tarantula's crawling through our camp! It was so disgusting. The kids were frightened to see such a big spider but fascinated at the same time. They would slowly follow the tarantula until it could find somewhere to hide from them. Spencer tried to pick it up, but it would just crawl around his hand.
Can you find the tarantula hiding in the grass??

What do you do?

I can't decide whether I should correct Danielle or just smother her with kisses when she pouts. She learned this temper tantrum tactic from Carli.

Who needs a diving board?

Kristin's boyfriend, Mike, likes to teach our children dangerous, life-threatening stunts. They love it! In fact, Carli's in love with Mike and is trying to steal him from Kristin.
Spencer has been working in Vegas since July, and I went to visit him last weekend ALONE! My sister Kristin, who is currently living with us, watched the kids while I was away. With Spencer gone for 4 months, I was definitely ready for a break from them.

When I got there, Spencer still had to work for another hour or 2, so I went back to his hotel and took a much needed nap. It was so lovely.

This is the Monte Carlo on the Strip that Spencer is staying in.

This is the CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens next door to the hotel that Spencer frequently visits. He saves up his food money and buys all sorts of random stuff for us, such as cotton balls, hair straighteners, razors, deoderant, batteries, etc. The workers there are probably wondering who this crazy guy is that comes to their store every night, walking the aisles, buying all sorts of random things.

This is a model of the project that Spencer is working on. It is a project to build all of these new hotels on the Strip.

Spencer took me out to a VERY expensive, fancy restaurant, thanks to his employer. It was an Italian place with a menu I couldn't even understand. The food was good, but what you are really paying for is the service. They moved the table so I could sit down, and they switched Spencer's white napkin for a black one because he was wearing black pants. We also had 3 waiters serving us. There was a huge difference in the service and patrons of the fancy restaurant and Denny's the next morning we went to for breakfast. Haha.
We also went to a BYU football game.
